Executive Summary
Our client wanted to create a digital platform to provide support, resources and community for families of children with different abilities. They approached us to provide art direction, branding, copywriting, digital strategy, web design and development services for this project.
The Context and Challenge
Families of children with different abilities often face challenges in finding resources and support that meet their unique needs. Our client recognized the need for a digital platform that would provide these families with a sense of community, information, and resources in one place. The challenge was to create a platform that was accessible, inclusive and user-friendly for families from diverse backgrounds and with different levels of technical skills.
The Process and Insight
We began by conducting research to understand the needs and challenges of families with different abilities. Based on this research, we created a user-centered design approach, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility. We also worked with the client to create a brand identity that reflected their mission and values.
We then designed and developed a website to serve as a directory of resources for these families. During COVID we shifted focus to a directory for virtual experiences and events. We also developed a digital strategy that included social media and email marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the platform and encourage engagement among the target audience.
The Solution
The result was a digital platform that provided a range of resources and community support for families of children with different abilities.The brand identity was reflective of the client’s mission and values, which helped to build trust and engagement among users.

The Results

The social media and email marketing campaigns helped to increase awareness of the platform, resulting in a significant increase in website traffic and engagement. Our client was able to effectively manage the platform, adding new resources and content to meet the evolving needs of their community.
