Waterville Area Venture Ecosystem
A private-public venture ecosystem gets branding and a website to help match entrepreneurs to ample resources.
Executive Summary
A remarkable partnership in mid-Maine between academia, philanthropists, local government and state government has brought rise to a whole system of business-supporting services and coaching for developing new businesses into larger businesses and beyond. From business school resources for business planning to ideation, to startup incubators and business accelerators, the region is amply resourced for developing the businesses of the next century to develop and lift up the region. This “venture ecosystem” needed a website to promote the various services available to entrepreneurs along the business development spectrum.
Process and Insights
First we worked to develop visual branding by choosing modern fonts, brand colors, iconography, patterns and images for the allied group. Next we built out the new site based on these decisions and the content co-written by the team.
Results
The new site is used as a first resource to direct businesses and entrepreneurs to connect to resources. Analytics shows is to be popular and allied organizations report a number of incoming leads from the site.
